Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 July 2026

ViewTitle ("we", "the app") automatically updates the title of a YouTube video you own so that it displays the video's current view count. This policy explains what data we access, why we need it, and what we do with it.

1. Information we access and store

We never receive or store your Google password. All sign-in happens through Google OAuth 2.0.

2. How we use your information

We use it for one purpose only: reading the view count of the video you selected and updating that video's title according to the format you chose, on a schedule (every 30 minutes). We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

3. Scopes we request

We request the youtube.force-ssl scope and use it for exactly two operations, only on videos you explicitly configure:

This app uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Limited Use Disclosure: ViewTitle's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. The only external calls we make are to Google/YouTube APIs, which are required for the service to function.

5. Data retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete account and all data" button on your dashboard. Doing so removes your record from our database and revokes the OAuth token immediately. You can also revoke access yourself at Google Account Permissions.

6. Security

Tokens and settings are stored on our server with restricted file permissions, and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
